The British Progressive Generation (Internet based news casting show)
Progression is the only way forward for a Greater Britain

Questions to think about;

• Have you ever found that news and radio tends to be too far to one side or the other?

• Have you ever sat back and thought "My goodness this show is way too black or white for your liking?

• What ever happened to non-biased opinions and proof via real statistics?

• Are you sick of all the lies and cover ups?

• Well I guess entertainment would not be so entertaining if it wasn't, but we always need logical Liberals to bring the far right and left back to their senses.

• Imagine the news highlighting the issues that you actually care about?

• What about all  those political slip-ups and high end criminals?

• Well here at the The British Progressive Generation we will find news and highlights they tried to leave out.

• Would you like to have reasonable, explainable conclusions to your stories after resolution? (no one likes a case that is closed unsolved)

• This is not a conspiracy theory show.. but we will damn well question things that appear off key!

 

 

 

About The British Progressive Generation
In the UK there are so many cases of political corruption, poverty, crime and negative issues here that need reporting and highlighting, but unfortunately . 
The vast amounts of stories that could be covered within the radius of a small town (yet alone the big inner cities) would be endless.
Topics will in such an entertaining, brutally honest manner, with a sprinkle of the sarcastic/light/dark humour, as well as political and social awareness.

A few Issues we have at the moment in the U.K are; 

• the phone hacking scandals still going strong 

• Similar Government beef; hood style slanders - Between Labour party (Democrats)  Conservatives party ( for people who are more familiar with the U.S government - imagine the Republicans in power)

• Highlighting of questionable Ukip, B.N.P immigration views - policies.

• the questionable immigration policies - sending a Nigerian refugee home when he was close to death on a hunger strike 

• £9000 $14773.50 a year for student tuition fee's - Even though we are allowed loans, but having to look forward to a jobless debt engulfed future. 

• Do we really need to have loans paid to us, if the Government remain unable to improve the employment situation - Why couldn't they pay the Universities and leave the students out of the debt problem?

• the changes to the welfare system and harsher penalties e.g. 3 month suspension of housing benefits and living allowance (you go to an office every two weeks in order to sign a form and confirm regular job searches in order to receive these benefits... problem is that most of these advertised jobs are rumoured to be phoney.

• Are some things really as racist/homophobic/sexist as they're made out to be?

• the economic problems and the crazy suggestions and scapegoat

+Plenty more - e.g police harassment, bizarre people, outspoken comments

 

Extras
We will also have conclusions, suggestions, public's views (tweets, call-ins, tests, F.B messages etc.
I want these views to reach out to politicians and the Government e.g. David Cameron and Boris Johnson and have a representative deliver the message/question/suggestions directly to the subject in question. We need answers and to be heard.

Cast
All members of the crew are always free to put in their input/ ask questions during filming - this show wants to hear everyone's points of view for contextual quality and quantity.

 

• 5 -8 presenters with a progressive (non-biased or biased) point of view and knowledge about politics, news, the community, overseas, sports, etc: 

 

• Presenter 1 - HostWill be entertaining and politically independent like Russell Brand

• Presenter 2 - HostA down to Earth presenter who knows is a jack/master of all trades

• Presenter 3 will be brilliant with numbers and statistics, economics and research

• Presenter 4 Will be slightly more outspoken than others. A realist, has experienced problems of their own and is able to spread his message to the viewers

• Presenter 5 Will be able to understand the in/outs of politics. They will conduct most of the one on one interviews, pod-casts and show journalistic talents etc. 

• Presenter 6Would be a master of the social networks, for example having the ability to locate and expose out of line, aggressive tweets. Possible sports, games, entertainment media lover - Talking on controversial subjects, clips, views, twitters etc.

• Presenter 7Will have knowledge on law/economics/crime

• Presenter 8Will be laid back, maybe a bit crazy, hyperactive,  working internationally to broadcast news from around the world

5 Will work with the journalists in gathering news from all around the U.K.

I will need 1- 3 editors. They will also interact with the hosts during shows.

• 2 Studio/film editors -There will be a team of 3 editors who will be experienced in studio work and visual mixers mixing.

What We Need & What You Get

Broken down with approximate costs and detail:

• Start up, running costs per annum=20000

• Crew members and presentersAll of whom will receive a small equal pay for their services, food expenses, transport/parking/costs= £25'000 per annum (between approx 30 members).

• Advertising/promotional merchandise development - T-shirts, DVD's, prints, website=£1000

• Hiring of studio premises=£500 - £6000

• administration equipment, printers, monitors, paper, technology= >£1000

• Make up, clothes, health and safety equipment = £1000 -£2500 

• Equipment - Rental Camera; =£500 - £3000 per annum

• Hire of Camera tripod, tracks, rails, sound/lighting equipment,on body mount, lens protector,reflectors, lighting, editing software (Avid or Adobe premier pro)= £2000

• Overall total approx £58'500 per annumProfitable markets will include; 

• advertisement

• exclusive member

• subscriptions

• representations

• viewer count royalties

• All contributors will get credits and a personal thanks (restaurant, acknowledgement, gratitude, personalised present etc)

• Contributors and supporters will get to meet the crew and presenters - (Interviews if wanted)

• Businesses, funders, charities and artists who help fund this film will gain advertising promotion via internet/video mediums within in the UK (And possibly internationally). 

• We will also be broadcasting it on youtube, vimeo and other video channels, and promoting on facebook, youtube, twitter, myspace and many more possible ways to increase advertising awareness to the company's aims. The promotions team will be able to promote the intentions of investors/funders at any time.

• For businesses and artists we would always be happy to create a video based promotional advert/video for free.

• When the filming is done we will develop franchise goods that will be free of charge to all intermediate contributors - T-shirt, Poster, DVD with printed credits. and copy of the screenplay for higher paying contributors.

• If things do not go as planned the funds will stay in account as improvement and changes are being made (Which you will be updated on weekly).

This show will be a rapidly evolving show and will branch out into many subject channels in the future; sports, dating, history etc..
